Body and Paint
This 356 was actually never restored. Due the Californian climate is the body well preserved. Original floors, no sigs of any major accidents and absolute no rust. In the early eighties the car was professionally repainted in its original color. Very nice paint job. Still nice and shiny. All around good panel fit.
Never rechromed. Shows its age but presentable.
The interior was redone once. Done very nice and they used the correct materials.
Steering wheel and knobs shows his age but I like that. Rubber mats, Chrome, headliner, doorcards are in all in a very good and functional condition.
Always well serviced and been taken care off. A stack of records approved that. The son of the original owner told me that the original engine was thrown away in the eighties. It was broken and it was very common back in those days to replace it instead of repairing it. The current engine has is also a 75 HP engine but of a later year. It runs beautiful and we just put a new exhaust on it. Also the gearbox was overhault and shifts very smooth.
