Porsche 356 B Roadster Super 90 - 1961
Very rare 356 BT5 D’ieteren Roadster Super 90:
Sold new in Bern Switzerland
Very attractive original color scheme. (Aetna Blue with Red interior)
Original Super 90 (50% more power than the standard 60 Hp Porsche Engine.
Runs and drives but needs restoration
This Roadster is delivered new in June 1961 by AMAG to Dr. Marc Talbert in Bern Switzerland. After a few years it was exported to the US. Which was very common back in those in days. After a few decades the car was imported to England later Germany and finally it arrived in The Netherlands.
Like a lot of the 356’s this was car was probably restored in the the seventies. A 356 had almost no value back than and you can see that back on the quality of the “restoration”.
The good thing is that there are nog signs of any big accidents.
All the panels have the last digits of the and the hood is not bent.
Floors are solid although the battery box is not replaced in the correct way.
What really need attention are both doorgaps. Needs to be aligned. Doors have bubbles.
At some places the fantastic color Aetna blue comes true the red paint.
Interior and top:
All complete and in working order. Needs to be redone with correct material and off course in the very nice color red!
Engine and gearbox:
Not matching, period and type correct super 90 engine. Runs good and looks very original and clean. Gearbox shifts in every gear but needs bushings.
This Roadster deserves a owner who likes to bring it back in the original color scheme and make it perfect again.
The car comes with:
COA/ Kardex Porsche
Some older and recent history files
